Tall Stature with an Abnormal Appearance Children with Sotos syndrome have a large elongated head, prominent forehead, large ears and jaws, an elongated jaw, and coarse facial features. They also have normal GH secretion and no evidence of thyroid, adrenal, or gonadal dysfunction. Most have subnormal intelligence.
